An ocean of sand set the stage and the stage itself, was full of panels. These solar panels glittered in the sunlight, harnessing the energy provided by that gargantuan celestial body to power the world in which we live.

I can't say I thought much of it. Instead, I thought of what this country was a mere century ago before the African campaign ravaged it. Before the massacres and the forced conversions by the Grand Republican Army, there were people who laughed, lived, and loved. They're all dead now.

These are the sins of our republic. We would do well not to forget them.
